Jewelry Care Guide
Sterling Silver
Sterling silver is a precious and delicate metal that requires your care to keep its shine.
The more you wear the better shine it will keep. Keep them in a dry, cool place and avoid direct sunlight. Keep your pieces away from chemicals such as chlorine, bleach, perfume or body cream.
Freshwater Pearls
Avoid chemicals like perfume, spray and cream as they will destroy the lustre and nacre of pearls. Instead, we recommend wearing your jewelry after applying make-up, perfume and hair spray.
Snake Chain Storage
Due to snake chains’ semi-rigid-formed nature, they are susceptible to kinking. Therefore, careful storage is required to preserve the chain’s original shape. We recommend the chain be hung up or coiled carefully.
Depending on personal use and habits, the longevity of your jewelry also varies.
Metals & Stones
Recycled Sterling Silver
We use recycled sterling silver as the primary metal, one of the most beautiful and precious metals. Our jewelry is marked with a 925, which means this piece has been certified to contain 92.5% pure silver.
Jewelry made from this material will go through a natural tarnishing process. However, our sterling silver pieces are plated with rhodium or 18k gold and our customers haven't reported back any tarnished pieces!
Rhodium Plating
We use Rhodium plating on sterling silver to increase the durability of your jewelry. Rhodium is a luxurious member of the platinum family group. It is silver-hued and reflective. In addition, it is a hard metal that provides a protective layer on the sterling silver surface, which can help prevent your jewelry from tarnishing.
Gold Plating
We use 14k and 18k gold coating on sterling silver to create a high-quality gold finish. With gold plating, the jewelry pieces are more durable than gold-filled pieces. There are also more opportunities to create trendy designs that do not cost a fortune.
Pearls
We use natural pearls and cultured pearls for our jewelry. For natural freshwater pearls, our manufacturer has 20 years of experience in cultivating pearls. Our cultured freshwater pearl pieces are genuine pearls produced by an oyster or mollusk, but with human assistance.
Zircon
We use natural zircon as one of my gemstones. Zircon is attractive, durable, and more economical than diamonds and sapphire. It is also believed that wearing zircon can reduce negative energy :)
